First epoxy work

Scotty ‘wetting out’ the ribs. The epoxy is then thickened with colloidal silica and applied to one face. The ribs are then aligned and clamped together and to the molds and left to dry for 24hrs. The molds are lined with parcel tape to stop the glue sticking to them (bad form to launch a boat with the molds stuck to the hull!) It is important to dry-fit before assembly and clean up as you go as epoxy is very hard to remove when set.
