November 2013 update

Kings Lynn Borough Council

… have been very supportive and have paid for professional to help us with our funding applications. These are currently being processed by the various bodies we have applied to .

… are also very keen to help us on our feet and I quote from a letter of support for our applications they wrote: ”….the river and quayside areas of Kings Lynn will enjoy wider recreational use than before, bringing many people to the location and creating more use of nearby facilities. The whole project will improve many people’s quality of life. And importantly, it will build and grow a strong and successful club with a sustainable future

The Discovery Centre

… see the opportunities that could be on offer for the youth of Kings Lynn: “therefore we would like to state our full support for this project and if successful look forward to taking part in this fantastic opportunity

The Rotary Club

… I gave a presentation to the Rotary Club Kings Lynn last night who were very interested in our proposals and asked many questions.

The CRABs (Coastal Rowing Association Blakeney)

… we have maintained contact with this club (who are now building their second St Ayles skiff). They have offered to bring their boat to Lynn to show people ‘the real thing’; I have been putting them off until I know we will ‘float’ – sorry about the pun. I am told there is a group in Wells building a couple too but I have no further information.

The Ouse Amateur Sailing Club

… have been very helpful and offered us meeting rooms and use of their Saddlebow water to practice.

The Crown and Mitre

… has offered to be the venue for our club nights (when we start them again), go there anyway, great beer!
