Lynn Réwet takes to the water

We’ve reached a very special stage in our project and it’s time to concentrate on being a rowing club.
So, the Lynn Réwet has taken to the water for the first time, at Saddlebow; the Relief Channel, off the River Great Ouse. All went to plan… The boat performed as did the weather.

… and we got our lottery funding!

I am delighted to tell you that the National Lottery has agreed to our application and has given us the funds to buy the kits and other materials we need to make the two St Ayles Skiffs. I make no apology for reposting this video as it gives a good impression of what these boats would look like once built, racing in the Great Ouse. I hope to see you at the launch evenings?

Hoi Larntan invitation

A diary date if you want to see one of these boats locally; The Coastal Rowing Association  Blakeney are launching Hoi Larntan and, quote, “you and your colleagues/interested parties are invited to join us at the launch of Hoi Larntan on the Quay at Blakeney, Saturday 25 May 18:00-18:30ish on the high tide.
