The KLCRC is formally launched

The Kings Lynn Coastal Rowing Club was launched and held its first formal meeting yesterday. (and celebrates with a new header picture from the 2012 North Berwick regatta; courtesy of Alec Jordan). The offices of Chairman, Membership Secretary, Treasurer and Publicist were created and all 7 present becoming the first members of the club. We have set the membership fee at a token £1 and intend to hold it at that at least until the first boat is launched. Our Constitution is under review at present, as is our first application for funding. The ‘Contact’ page is now a ‘Contact/Join us’ form where you can apply for membership. The next get together is at 7pm Thursday 11th April; once again at the Ouse Amateur Sailing Club (see directions below), all are welcome. We are keen to make the club available to the wider community and will be inviting various organisations to sponsor teams to compete in various races/events. If you are a pub, charity, social group or village and think this is something you may be interested in, please use the contact form on the blog to tell us. Over the next few months we will be deciding how best develop the club going forward and how best to build the facilities, training and competition we intend to offer.
